Pizza Sloppy Joes

Ingredients

  • 25 Pepperoni slices, cut in quarters
  • 1-pound ground beef
  • 1 cup pizza or spaghetti sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 4 Hamburger buns

Instructions

 

  1. Brown pepperoni in skillet over medium heat. Remove from skillet with slotted spoon and place on paper towel lined plate to absorb any excess grease.
  2. In same skillet over medium heat, add ground beef. Breakup beef and stir until no longer pink and cooked through. Using a large spoon, remove any excess fat from the pan.
  3. Add pepperoni and sauce to pan and stir to combine with the cooked ground beef till heated through (about 1 minute). Stir in mozzarella cheese and turn off heat. Serve on hamburger buns.

Notes

Additions: Chopped bell peppers, onions, cooked Italian sausage, or any of your favorite pizza toppings!
